Christmas Decorating Date

On Friday night Royce and I were going to go mini golfing since Royce has won 3 free games but it got a little cold so we ended up not going. Royce has been begging me for a tree for a while now but I was a little hesitant just because I knew Grace would be in it all the time. I really did want one though so I gave in and so for our date Royce and I decorated for Christmas. We went to Michael's and got some ornaments for 10 bucks and the lovely gingerbread tree shown below. Then we went to Wal-Mart and bought our tree. It was a steal of a deal...only 20 bucks and it is even 6 feet tall!! It didn't come pre-lit but the lights only cost 2 bucks I think so we were all set. So we went home and set up the tree and made the gingerbread tree. We also got some icicle lights for our wedding so we hung them around our house and Royce can't have Christmas without the multicolored lights so we hung a couple of those in our window too!! We rocked out to Christmas music so it was a lot of fun and now it seems a little more like the holidays considering we are in 78 degree weather!!

I wish I could find a stealer deal on a tree! I have a dinky 4 foot tree (it was free) and dont want to spend money on ornaments so it just has lights and left over ribbon from our wedding announcements... black and white polka dots. Very festive I know. I need to stop reading your blog, I think it makes me pressure Tim more about getting into SCCO. Poor Timothy. Grace is so cute.

Wow Royce, you've won 3 free games of mini golf? Very impressive. Are you sure a friend of yours didn't win one of those games for you? Nice tree, you should stop by a christmas tree lot and ask for some of the branches or clippings of the pines trees and put em behind your tree so that you can have the smell of christmas in your home too. Thats funny that it can't be christmas without colored lights. I think you talked me into getting some colored lights for our window... -Phil

Love your Christmas tree...it's so fun to have it up isn't it! It just doesn't feel like x-mas with the warm weather so having the tree really helps! What a fun date night. Hope Grace is feeling better, poor thing!

Your tree is pretty cool, Lindsey and I bought the exact same tree from Wal-mart in Ohio. Six feet tall and only 20 bucks. We also did a quick decoration for the boys because we were only there until the 12th of December then we came home. Hope you have a merry Christmas and we hope to see you all sometime in the future. We will be home in the summer for the 4th of July. Maybe we will see you then.
