We had such a fun Christmas this year! This year we were with the Barney's and we went to Bear Lake as a whole family! Royce's parents have Trendwest timeshares so this is the second Christmas with them that we went to one of their locations and they are so fun! We get a couple condo's with like 3 bedrooms in each and we all pile our families in there. It's pretty crammed with the whole family but we have such a good time together playing games and just spending time together. The snow wasn't too good but we did a little sledding which was fun except Grace had a pretty bad accident. The sledding hill we went on ended at a paved road and Grace and her cousin hit the bottom and she flew off and got road rash from the top of her head down one side of her face and under her chin. Luckily it healed quickly with no scars but it looked pretty nasty. We loved the trip though and Christmas was so fun with all the cousins!

Royce only had a couple days off for Christmas and had to get back to his rotation so I decided I wanted to go visit my family. So the kids and I flew out to Washington for a week. I didn't even think about flying alone with 2 kids until the day before we left but it went really well. The kids were awesome! In Washington the kids were pretty much sick the whole time so we spent most of our time just hanging out making and frosting cookies and cupcakes and playing with the cat. We also went in the hot tub a lot and that was so nice. It was a nice little trip and we can't wait to live closer in about 5 months :)

Im the lamest blogger lately I know but here is what we've been up to

Kruz's 4 month stats:

Weight: 15.6 or somewhere near that (75th percentile) moving down in the weight department

Height: 25 1/4 inches (50th percentile)

Kruz is sleeping a lot better I usually only get up once a night. He's crazy when eating, most the time he just laughs and plays. He has his hands in his mouth at ALL times so he drools a lot. He is very ticklish and always has a huge grin waiting for you. He loves his sister, they are so sweet together. He loves to be in his jumperoo he will jump for hours. He loves to talk as well. He's the sweetest little thing!

Royce celebrated his 31st yes 31st birthday in November. He was studying for boards so it wasn't that exciting but we went to dinner with his parents and I made him some Tres Leche cupcakes that were delicious I hear! I also got him tickets to Brian Regan in January so that will be fun!

The end of November we made the long trek down to Fullerton for Royce to take boards! It was a short trip but it was so good to see our friends again we miss them all so much! Thanks to Geri and Jason for letting us crash at their place it was fun!

My friend Whitney got us into Disneyland one of the days and it was so fun so thanks to her! Grace misses all of her friends so much she talks about them daily and always wants to go back to California

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween this year. Since we blessed Kruz on the 30th my family stayed the next day and we were able to spend Halloween with them. We had chili and breadsticks at my cousins house and trick-or-treated around her neighborhood. This year Grace was Rapunzel, Kruz was Pascal (the chameleon), and my nephew Eli was Flynn Rider. It was really cute to see them trick or treating. My mother made Grace and Kruz's costumes and they turned out so cute! My cousins family had the same idea so we had a lot of Rapunzel's and Pascal's but just one Flynn. We definitely missed going to the ward trunk or treat and showing off the kids at Royce's school but it was a fun night!

Kruz's Blessing

We blessed Kruz on October 30th. Royce did a beautiful job, I've loved to hear him bless our children and the unique qualities he blesses them with. We had a nice luncheon afterwards at my cousins house with all the family. It has been so fun to live so close to my in-laws and also a lot of my cousins that I didn't get to see much growing up. It was a special day.

Kruz is growing up so fast I can't believe he is almost 3 months old. He is a sweet boy and has definitely become a momma's boy which I love since Grace definitely is not! He is "talking" a lot now, smiles, and has even laughed. He is a great baby, just give him a little attention and he's happy. We're having so much fun!

Bedding

So I decided to take on making crib bedding while I was pregnant and I love how it turned out. It was a ton of work and a lot of times I wondered why I was doing it but I'm so glad I did. Royce thinks I need to make bedding for each of our kids, but I'm thinking I'll just keep this one for the rest of them! Although Kruz is yet to sleep in the crib ( he will only sleep in our bed thanks to packing and moving when he was first born) but it sure looks cute :)

Well we're finally settled in Salt Lake and have internet now so yay! The last month was crazy with having Kruz and moving within 2 weeks but thank heaven for our parents and friends that helped so much! Life is so different here we definitely miss our lifestyle we had in California with friends all around but we've had fun hanging out with family! Kruz is 1 month old already and is getting more and more alert every day. He is growing so fast I think he is pushing 11 lbs already I haven't weighed him for a while so who knows. He's a great baby and smiling a ton! I love seeing Grace and him interact, Grace is a great big sister! Royce is loving his rotation and 8-5 work days! Here are some pictures of what we've been up to lately!

Kruz Kent

Our sweet little boy Kruz finally arrived! He was born August 3rd at 12:13 pm. He was 8 lbs 5 oz and was 21 inches long. I had an appointment the 2nd and Grace told the dr we were moving to Utah, which I had told him many times, and he asked when and when I told him 2 weeks he said he was inducing me the next day at 8:30 am. I was shocked and I'll tell you now that I way prefer just going into labor naturally because you don't stress out about it. Anyway so I went in the next morning and they started pitocin at around 9 and probably 1 hour later started getting really bad contractions. I didnt want to seem like a wimp so I endured them for a while then told Royce I needed the nurse. So she comes in and asks if I want an epidural, which I did, so we waited for the anesthesiologist to get out of a c-section he was in. So he came and gave me the epidural but the contractions just kept getting worse and worse and I was ready to push in about 5 minutes. My dr was in Santa Ana so they told me to hold off. I had the shakes really bad but the dr showed up and after 5 pushes he was out! He was posterior and diagonal so the dr said I was lucky to not have a c-section. His breathing started to slow as well so he had to get out fast. Everything turned out great although his nose was smashed to the side because it got stuck on the way out. It is straightening out though and we couldn't love him more. He looks almost identical to Grace when she was born and is just as content as she was. We're all doing great and are grateful to be blessed with our sweet little Kruz!

Trip Home

Last week Grace and I made a trip up to Washington to see grammy and papa! We hadn't seen them since Christmas so it was time! We had lots of fun just spending time together! I was sick the whole week so that was no fun but Grace loved jumping on the tramp with her grandparents and playing with her little cousin Eli! It made us sad that we don't live closer but hopefully soon! Whenever Grace was sad she wanted grammy and every time my dad came home from work she would yell grandpa and run and give him a big hug! It was so sweet to see! We had a great time but missed daddy so it was good to be home too! Thanks for the fun week, we love you!

Easter and More Visitors

Last week Royce's parents, sister Colby and husband Jim, and sister Brittany came to visit! Royce was in class a lot but we had lots of fun! Everyone but Royce's dad went to Knott's Berry Farm one day and he was nice enough to take Grace to the park while I went and ran some errands! It was so nice to shop alone so a big thanks to Russell. Royce was in clinic all day that day so he missed out too! We also ate lots of good food, colored eggs, went to the beach which was freezing but Royce and Jim braved it and went in, and went mini golfing! And what's a trip without visiting Fry's! Royce and his dad love that place and Royce came home with a paper shredder and a new alarm clock that projects the time on the ceiling! We had a nice Easter feast provided by Royce's mom and then they left that night! Thanks for coming we had fun!

Aunt Meg

A few weeks ago Aunt Meg came to visit over her Spring Break! We crammed a lot in in the week she was here! We went shopping, the San Diego Zoo, the beach, went to L.A to the Walk of Fame! Meg hadn't been to a zoo before so we had a lot of fun taking lots of pictures! We also rode a bike on the beach and honked our horn at people and tried to take on some hills where I was huffing and puffing! In L.A. we did a little shopping and saw the stars which Meg had no idea who anyone was. We also went to Beverly Hills and looked at the beautiful houses. We went and saw the temple which was beautiful and went to Diddy Riese which is a little ice cream sandwich shop where you just pick 2 cookies and an ice cream flavor and it's $1.50! We had lots of fun. Grace loved the sleepovers with Meg every night. We watched a lot of Bones the T.V show and just hung around! It's always good to have company! We love you Meg!

Disneyland with the Browns

Yesterday my cousin Lindsey and her family were in town so we met them at Disneyland for our last time while living in California! It was a hot day when we left at 4 pm it was 93 outside so needless to say we were all sweaty and hot! We went on a few rides, the Gadget roller coaster, It's a Small World which felt so nice cause it blows cold air, the tea cups, and the carousel. Then the kids and Lindsey and I went to Ariel's Grotto for lunch, thanks Grandma Roylance, while the boys ate corn dogs and rode Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain. At the lunch you walk in and get to meet Ariel and then during our lunch we were serenaded by a prince of some sort and then Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella, and Belle all came out one at a time and came to each table to talk to the kids and take pictures! It was so fun and a great way to spend our last day! The girls loved it and the food was delish! We didn't get to see Lindsey and her family too long but were glad we got to spend some time together!

Over Royce's break in February we went to San Diego with our friends the Casper's! We went to the Mormon Battallion, the beach, and just hung around! Next Grace and I with my friend Angie made a trip to Arizona to visit our friends the Neville's while Royce studied for round 1 of boards! We went swimming, celebrated birthdays with happy cakes, and just played together! Paul was nice and watched the girls one day so we could have a girls day in Phoenix! Next Royce's brother Eric and his family came to visit! It was so fun to see them! We don't get to see them very often so it was nice to spend time together! They did Disneyland for a few days then Royce and Grace went with them to Knott's Berry Farm and loved it but Royce forgot the camera so no pictures! It's always fun to have visitors we have a few more to come so I'll be updating as they come and go!!

Grace Turns 3

I can't believe I have a 3 year old! It was so fun to have a birthday party this year because Grace was so excited! We had to make a countdown and every morning the first thing she said was "my happy day!?" and I always had to say not today. That went on for about 2 weeks! We did a princess party this year and all her friends wore princess dresses and we had cupcakes and a pinata it was really fun! I don't have the pictures from that yet but i'll post those later! Grace was so excited to blow out the candles and after she did and everyone clapped she actually took a bow haha it was hilarious! On Valentine's Day I actually took her to meet the princesses and TinkerBell at Disneyland since our passes expired so that was fun! On her actual birthday we took her to Downtown Disney to Build-a-Bear and she made a cute little bear she named Belle. Then she insisted on eating at the Rainforest Cafe which I knew was gross and it was once again, but Grace loved seeing all the animals so it was worth it I suppose! That night we didn't have any cake or anything so we put candles in a Swiss Roll but she was happy as can be to blow out candles again! I just love my little lou she just gets more and more fun everyday! Her smile melts my heart and makes it hard to get her in trouble! My love for her grows more and more each day and I'm so blessed to have her! Love you Louie!

Surprise Surprise

Well I'm sure this comes as no shock to anyone but we are expecting baby #2!! I tried really hard to hide it but don't know if I was successful! I'm 15 weeks and due August 4th, a week before we move to Utah for our 2nd rotations! We couldn't be more thrilled and neither could Grace! She always talks about having a baby brother or sister! Sorry to all those I lied to but given my history I didn't want to say anything I would have to take back! Anyways you can add me to the long list of prego's you know and I heard that people were talking about there being somebody pregnant from every year in optometry school and it was a mystery for 3rd year well now you know its me!! We're so excited and grateful for this sweet blessing!!

p.s we aren't finding out what it is so don't hate us :)

Grace's Bed

So Grace has been in a big girl bed for about a year now and I was ambitious and decided to make her bedding. Well I pieced the quilt together really fast but when it came to quilting it that took me FOREVER to do it because I knew it would be a lot of work! Well I finished the quilt a while ago I don't remember when exactly so she's had that for a while but I didn't want to post pictures until I had made her pillows! Well I never did until the other day and I decided I'm finishing this dumb project I'm sick of staring at it in my closet so I finished them all in a couple days! I'm very happy with the results and the pictures don't do much justice for the pillows but I love them! So after a year of working on this project I can say that I'm officially done!

Every Mothers Worst Nightmare

So this happened a few weeks ago but we had just gotten back from Washington for Christmas! Grace and I were watching Beauty and the Beast one afternoon and I fell asleep. I was awoken to "Mom I cut my hair!" with the hugest grin I'd ever seen! I was kind of out of it so I didn't think it was too bad but when I stood up I saw hair all over her dress and when I went into the bathroom I saw piles and piles of blonde hair! I turned around to see Grace standing there again with a huge grin just so proud of herself so all I could do was laugh and hug her! We had just cut her hair so I guess that's where she got the idea. I usually don't have scissors out but that morning I had trimmed her bangs and forgot to put them away! So glad she didn't lose an eye or something! Learned my lesson and I think her hair turned out cute after we took her in to get it fixed!

Christmas

This year we spent Christmas with my family! We went up to Silver Mountain for a few days right after we got to Washington and stayed at a resort where we skied, went sledding, and swam in the 80 degree indoor water park! Then we went back to my parents house and had our Christmas Eve party where we did the nativity, opened our pajamas, and watched the Nativity Story. Christmas we got up and opened presents then waited around to talk to my brother Riley on his mission. It was so nice to talk to him he has grown so much and is such a wonderful example for our family! The next week was full of family gatherings involving food and way too late of nights! We had a lot of fun it was so nice to spend time with family that we hardly get to see! Grace got way off schedule as kids always do on vacation and we cut her some bangs! It was a good trip but were glad to be back home in the warmer weather!

Thanksgiving Break

Over Thanksgiving break Royce, Grace, and I drove to Idaho for Royce's sister Colby's wedding. It was quite the adventure! We left the 20th and drove to Vegas to stay the night! On the way Grace had to go potty and there were no rest stops so Grace experienced her first pee on the side of the road haha she was scared! Anyways we stayed at Circus Circus which was a little junky but kinda fun! That was our first hotel of the week! The next day we traveled to Salt Lake City and stayed a couple nights. Tuesday we drove with Royce's fam trying to make it to Jackson, WY but the roads got bad so we stayed the night in Idaho Falls. Wednesday we made it to Jackson and we stayed in a hotel there where we had our lovely thanksgiving meal! It was quite good!! Royce's big 30th birthday was Friday and we went to Rexburg to stay the night for Colby's wedding the next day! We went out for his birthday and he watched football all day so he loved it especially since Boise State lost! Anyways so Saturday was the wedding and it was awesome! Colby and Jim looked so good and so happy! After the reception that night, which was amazing by the way, we made our way back to Salt Lake, got home at 2 am, then got up in the morning to leave and our car wouldn't start! So after a few hours of trying to start it we just took Royce's dad's car and drove back to California. It took us 13 hours because of bad roads and we didn't get home until 1 am. Needless to say we were glad to be home! Luckily Royce's dad is so awesome and instead of Royce having to drive back to Utah to get our car, he is going to drive it down for us...thanks Russell!! It was a good week!

Grammy Visits and Halloween

Last week we were lucky to have my mom come to visit us! It was about time cause she hasn't been here for 2 years and our time in California is coming to an end! Grammy made Grace's halloween costume this year so she had to come and make all the finishing touches and make sure Grace looked perfect! Grace was Tinkerbell and the costume was amazing...she looked so cute we even bought her some fake hair at claire's and everyone thought it was real haha! The weather wasn't so good while grammy was here so we didn't do much but it was still so fun! We made halloween cupcakes for Grace to hand out to her little friends and we also made some bone shaped cookies just for fun! Royce's schools trick or treating was a week early this year which was good because grammy got to see Grace trick or treat and be in her costume! We had so much fun with my mom I was so sad to see her go! I love California but I miss my family so much! Thanks for coming mom we love you!!

Much Needed Getaway

So Royce is pretty much in the hardest quarter of school so I never see him and he had a huge test that he was going to be studying all day everyday for so I decided to take Grace and bust out of here to see our friend Holly and her 2 boys! Her husband was out of town too so we had a girl party! It was a really fun week and so nice to get away and do something other then the same things we do everyday here! Thanks for having us!

So over Royce's break from school we went to Alaska with my family! My Grandparents have a house up there so we are lucky enough to go vacation there! It was such a fun trip but us being the airheads we are forgot our camera so all i got was pictures my sister took and am awaiting others from my mom and sister in law so for now this is all i have! We had a lot of fun fishing, playing games, and just hanging out! It was too short of a trip I missed my family right away but it was nice to see them and finally meet my little nephew for the first time!!

Grandma and Grandpa Come to Visit

Last week Royce's parents came to visit! We had a lot of fun as always and packed in lots of fun things!

Thursday we went to Downtown Disney and Grace got some princesses from Grandma and Grandpa (they're in the picture below) and no California visit is complete without a trip to Lucilles BBQ

Friday we went to Huntington Beach the first half of the day was overcast and chilly but then the sun made its appearance and it was great! We also ate lunch on the pier at Ruby's, a fun little diner!

Later Friday night we went mini golfing at Camelot which is always so fun and stopped for Yogurtland yum!!

Saturday we went to breakfast at Crepes de Paris and they were delish then Royce had clinic so the rest of us went to the pool and watched Princess and the Frog that Grandpa and Grandma bought Grace earlier! That night we went to Olive Garden and then went back to our house and hung out!

It was so nice to have Royce's parents here! Grace loves her Grandma and Papa and can't wait to see them again in a few months!!

Toy Story 3 and The Angel's

A week or so ago we decided to take Grace to her first movie being old enough to enjoy it! We took her to Toy Story 3 and she was more excited to be in the theater I think than watch the movie! She was all over the place moving from seat to seat, going back and forth between Royce and I, and leaning over to say hi to all the people in front of us! It was a cute movie and it was so fun to see her excitement! Then that night was the Angel's game! I bought Royce tickets for Father's Day and then we kind of forgot about it until I got an email that day saying thanks for purchasing the tickets so I scrambled to find a babysitter and we were off! The weather was perfect and it was fun to just hang out together!!

Our new camera takes forever to upload pictures on here so I'm not going to take the time to post 4th of July pictures sorry I'm sure everyone's so bummed ;)! Anyways here's just a few pictures of Grace! Eva and Grace have been getting along pretty well lately and always want to hold hands now...it's so cute and refreshing! Usually they are screaming, pushing, tackling (Grace) each other so it's a nice change! Also our really good friends the Casper's just came to visit for the weekend! Grace and Bruin were cute playing together and it was so fun to see Phil and Holly we really miss them down here! Anyways thats all for now!

Surprise

This year I was in Washington over my birthday! I told Royce he didn't have to get me anything i didn't care but he kept saying my present was coming! I thought yeah right sure since my birthday had long since come and gone! Yesterday though to my surprise I woke up to a note with my name on it! Royce had planned out a whole afternoon/evening for me and this is how it went...

3:30 pm Pedicures with friends where in his words we could leave our cares behind (he would be babysitting)

Goodbye Disneyland It's Been Fun

Today was the last day we could use our Disneyland passes until the end of August! So to get a couple more uses we went to Disneyland last night and watched the firework show for the first time! Grace loved it she kept yelling BOOM BOOM BOOM! Then today Erin and I braved the crowds to get one more trip! We went on a couple rides but I think the girls' favorite part was running in the water with their clothes on!! Disneyland we'll see you in a couple of months!

Disney's World of Color

Monday for Family Night we went with our friends the Neville's to Disney's new water and light show the World of Color at California Adventure! It is a big water show with lot of colors to music from all the different Disney and Pixar show's! It has scenes from the shows too, it was really cool! We watched it once and thought it was pretty sweet but couldn't see that good so we decided to stay for the next show and we were amazed at how much we missed the first time..it was definitely worth staying for the second show! Grace loved it can't wait to watch it again!

Royce had a 10 day break before he started his 3rd year of school! Let me tell you it was so nice to have him around cause last quarter I saw him for literally 2 hours a day! We took advantage of our time and did some fun things! We went to San Diego and walked around Balboa Park which is just full of museums and since we're poor we only went to the free ones which were lame but it was fun to walk around! They had a park that Grace played at for a while too! Then we went to the San Diego Zoo which is in Balboa Park and Grace loved it! She ran all over the place! Then we went to see the San Diego Temple which was my first time and of course it was under construction! It was a fun trip! Then we went to the beach a couple of times! On Memorial Day we went and watched my friend Erin run a half marathon in Laguna Hills then spent the rest of the day at Huntington Beach! Tuesday was back to the grindstone which was sad but it was a good and much needed break!

Riley's Farewell

Last week Grace and I spent a week in Washington to spend time with my brother Riley before he left on his mission to West Virginia. We went and saw Grandpa's cows which Grace loved, she touched the baby cows nose but I'm still waiting for those pics! Riley spoke in church on Sunday then we had a bbq at my parents which was delicious! My birthday was Monday and my cousin Mitchell was coming home from his mission so we went out to dinner at Red Robin then went and greeted him! Grandma bought Grace a tutu and we found an old leotard in our dress up box and grandma did a little altering and puffed the sleeves and now she has a cute little outfit! Grace dressed up everyday...she wore a tinker bell outfit and one of my old dance costumes it was so cute! We had a lot of fun as always! It was good to say goodbye to Riley he is going to do awesome!

One of Grace and I's new favorite thing to do together is cook! The other night I pulled up a chair and let her help me make her some mac and cheese so now every time I cook she's grabs a toy to stand on, which I replace with a chair, so she can be in on the action. It's a lot of fun and way better than telling her to go away and plopping her in front of the tv while I try to make dinner!

Here are some pictures of Easter this year! Aunt Chelsea and Uncle Martin gave Grace her Easter dress this year for her birthday I love it! Grace put it on and kept calling herself "pincess" over and over again and of coarse checking herself out in the mirror at every opportunity! Saturday night Grace and I colored Easter eggs and she loved it she was so excited! Easter we just had a quiet, relaxing day! Grace had her egg hunt and we had dinner and then that night it was Eva's birthday so we went and had some cake! It was a nice day!

This past week my sister Megan and my cousin Brianne came to visit! The weather report said it was supposed to be in the 80's all week but like always when we have visitors the weather wasn't so good! We had one good day, Monday, so we headed to Huntington Beach! It was a beautiful day so we just lounged on the beach and then walked around the little shops! The rest of the week the weather was fine but not beach weather so we did a little shopping, walked around downtown Fullerton and Newport Beach, ate Yogurtland a couple times, and ended the week with Cheesecake Factory and walking around Downtown Disney! There was a lot of late nights, which I will be spending the next week recovering from for sure, and definitely a lot of laughing! I love my family! Thanks so much girls for coming to visit I had a great time!

So far this year hasn't been so good to us when it comes to deaths. Grandpa Roylance passed away in January now Royce's Grandpa Munson passed away last week! We're really going to miss him! Thankfully it all worked out for Royce to leave for the funeral. So Royce was scheduled to fly out on Monday morning at 6:45 am so we got Grace up and took him to the airport. I got home and was laying in bed and decided to ask Royce if he made it on the plane ok. He texted back "no i missed my flight." I thought he was just acting like duh you dummy of coarse I made my flight but really he missed his flight by literally 2-3 minutes! Lucky for us, not so lucky for Royce, he wasn't able to fly out until 6 pm so he stayed at the airport and studied. Then Grace and I went and met up with him and had lunch then went and walked around the temple. It was a beautiful day and even though it wasn't fun getting up at 5:15 am for pretty much nothing, I'm glad we got to spend a few hours together which doesn't happen very often these days!

The past week we had the privilege of having my brother Riley come and stay with us! We packed in a lot of things in the short time he was here! First we had Grace's birthday party! Then Royce and Riley went to a Clipper's game and got vip treatment! We also rode bikes on the beach, went to Hollywood Blvd, went to Avatar, went to the Long Beach Aquarium, hot tubbed, tried to stay up late which I wasn't good at, and had a delicious dinner at Joe's Crab Shack on mom and dad! It was fun to see Grace and Riley play together...they became great friends this trip and Grace can't stop talking about 'wiley' now that he's gone! It's always fun to have family visit but sad to see them go! We had a lot of fun with you Riley, we love you!

Today my little Lou is 2 years old! It just blows my mind that I have a 2 year old! I know it's time for the terrible two's but Grace has been sweeter than ever lately! She has been giving us lots of hugs and planting big old kisses on us! Whenever I'm not with her she yells "MOM" then runs and hugs me! She's been big into saying sorry lately too...it's so cute! Whenever anything happens like me running into something with my cart or if I ask her not to do something or anything at all she says sorry mama! I just love her so much and as she grows I love her more and more! She is in such a fun stage right now! I love being her mom it's the greatest thing in the world!

Fun with Friends

Our friends the Richardson's and us do a babysit swap every month so we can go to the temple, Aubrey always gets such cute pictures of the kids playing together! Grace loves her friend Jay or "kay" as Grace calls him. They took a bath together and so Grace borrowed some of Jay's sweats...so cute! We also tried a new park this week with our friends Eva and Jada! The girls seemed to like it so we'll probably be back again! We also got to babysit Auri and she is just adorable! Grace loves all her little friends! We're so lucky to have so many kids around it's so much fun!

Grandpa's Funeral

My Grandpa Roylance passed away on January 7 so Grace and I spent the past week in Washington for his funeral and to visit family! It was a sad reason to be getting together but it was so nice to see all of our family that we never get to see! The funeral was so nice and was a perfect way to say goodbye to grandpa! He was always the life of the party making everybody laugh and always made you feel special! We're really going to miss him but are grateful to know we will see him again someday!

Christmas

Christmas was a lot of fun this year! It was a lot of driving but worth it! We spent the first week with Royce's family in West Yellowstone! We did a lot of swimming, playing games, and went cross country skiing! We even cut down our Christmas tree and made homemade decorations! The next week we spent with my family at my grandparents cabin in Lava Hot Springs! We went snowmobiling, sledding, played games, and went to the hot springs! Most of us ended up getting sick so that was a bummer, but we still had a good time! Grace started talking a lot more too! Now we are back enjoying the 80 degree weather in California! Thanks Mom and Dad Barney and Mom and Dad Roylance for the fun vacations! We love you!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Salt Lake to be with Royce's family and had lots of fun! We went to movies, swam in the hot tub, did a little turkey trotting, ate lots of good food, and just enjoyed spending time together! It was so nice to go to cold weather for the holidays its just not the same having the holidays in 80 degree weather but it is nice to be warm again! Thanks again for having us we love you guys!

We haven't had visitors for a while now and then we got 2 in one week! First my long time friend Sara came to stay! She was only here for a day but we had fun just catching up and spending time together! I felt bad cause my whole family was sick so poor Sara had to deal with that and go to the ghetto urgent care with me but its all about the memories! We went to Disneyland for a few hours though and rode Pirates of the Caribbean we had a good time! Next my brother Martin and his wife Chelsea came! They were here from Sunday until today! They bought 2 day Disneyland passes so they did that Monday and Tuesday! Then Wednesday we went to Huntington Beach and rented a bike which was hilarious! Grace loved it too! Then that night I got a babysitter (thanks Erin) and we went mini golfing and out to eat! Not to brag but I beat everyone at mini golf by at least 10 strokes and I got 4 hole in ones I think so I was happy! Anyways I'm glad we got to see them all...thanks for coming guys we love you! We are always wanting visitors so come on down!

Halloween 10k

On Halloween morning my friends and I went to Playa Del Mar and ran in a 10k race! It was such a fun race, right along the ocean! I finished in a time of 50 min. 45 sec and I won first place in my age category!! It was awesome...I even got a Gold Medal to prove it! My mother in law signed all of us up for a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving so we're getting excited for that..can't wait!

Last night was our ward Trunk or Treat! We got all decked out and when we showed up there was like no adults dressed up so we were like we're so awesome but thankfully more people showed up dressed up! It was lots of fun!! We had soup and a chili cook-off, dancing, and of course trunk or treating! We have so much candy right now and we're going for more tonight!!

Trick or Treating Round 1

So today was the SCCO Trick or Treating so all the students get to go show off their cute kids all dressed up! This year as you can see Grace dressed as a cave girl or pebbles either way! She loved putting it on she just kept looking in the mirror and giggling! She walked around the whole school saying hi to everyone it was too cute! I love this age they are so fun! So after months and months of an out of control mullet I decided it was time to give Grace her first haircut! I of coarse had to keep her still by giving her m&m's, which ended up all over her, but she did well! I cut off an inch or so and it still resembles a mullet a little but I think it turned out quite cute!!

The last couple of weeks we've had bake sales at Royce's school to raise money for an Alzheimer's Walk we are doing so needless to say there has been a lot of baking going on! A couple weeks ago I babysat Auri my friend Kylee's daughter! She is about 2 and a half and is so cute! She was so helpful with Grace and she actually listens to you when you tell her to do things...it definitely gave me hope for Grace!! We went on a little walk so here's a few pictures of that!

Half Marathon

On September 19th Erin, Shonee, and I ran in our very first half marathon!! It was pretty tough but we're glad to say we finished!! It was really hot outside and the description online of the race was rolling hills, flat, fast stretches and breathtaking scenery...i think not!! We didn't realize that the course was the same one the military trained on so the hills were more like mountains and definitely not rolling and the scenery not so breathtaking mostly weeds and dirt!! By the end we were exhausted but we ran 13.1 miles not too shabby!! We hope to do another one in January that is a FLAT course so we'll see!!

Last week my friend Erin and I went to the beach with the girls cause there was an open invitation from a lady in our ward. Little did we know we would be crashing the seminary back to school party haha! We still had a lot of fun even though we were cheapo's and wouldn't pay for parking so we ended up way out in the boonies trying to haul our kids plus all of our stuff! It was awful but we survived! We also went to the beach with Erin and Paul on Labor Day! We all ended up burned but it was worth it! Grace hit a milestone as well! She started to swim..with floaties of coarse but she is like a little fish now! She's a keeper!

Salt Lake and Home Sweet Home

So we made the 20 hour drive from Washington back to California last week! We left Monday and drove to Salt Lake to stay with Royce's family! Royce's sister Meredith and her 2 kids were there and Royce's parents...it was a good time! It was nice to see them and to break up the drive! We stayed the night Monday and spent the day with them Tuesday, then continued on our way Wednesday morning! We stopped in Vegas on the way to California and had lunch with my cousin Rachel and it was a scorcher!! It was our first time in Vegas but we just did a drive by since we had been driving so long already! We returned back home safely and are glad to be back! We went to the beach all day Friday with our friends Paul and Erin Neville and their baby Eva! It was so nice to just relax in the sunshine all day! We are officially moving into our 2 bedroom apartment on Thursday and can't wait! It's going to be a long week of packing, moving, and unpacking but we're so excited!! Anyways it's good to be back!!

Oregon Coast

A couple weeks ago my family went to the Oregon Coast for a little vacation! We had a lot of fun! We hit the Tillamook Cheese Factory on the way there and on the way back...we LOVE cheese and they have some good ice cream too! Then we stayed in this house right by the ocean so we spent a lot of time on the beach! We played some volleyball and even got clamming licenses but had no luck! We had a little fire and ate smores one night and Royce and I went running a few times along the beach..it was amazing! The boys played a couple rounds of golf so the girls went to Newport and went to a really cool aquarium! It was a really fun, relaxing trip! Hope to do it again someday!!

Reunion and Randomness

2 weeks ago Royce, Grace, and I drove down to Boise for a family reunion on Royce's side! We stayed with his cousin Kendra and her kids and Grace was in heaven being able to run around free! The first day Grace and I went with my in-laws and other family members to a little park that had a swimming area while Royce and some of his cousins went golfing! Later that night we had dinner at a park and played games! Royce and I were in the newlywed game and took third place! That night we went to the Golden Spoon to hang out with cousins! The next day was low key we just hung around and that night we had dinner and a program at another park! That night we played games at Kendra's house and it was a lot of fun! We were glad to get to spend time with Royce's family! It's sad we don't get to see them that often! Hopefully we see them all again soon!

We've been in Washington for a month now! We haven't been doing much besides swimming and just playing outside! Royce is working really hard on the farm! Grace is getting so big I can hardly stand it! She climbs on everything and is into everything! She's a handful but we can't get enough of her! Royce and I got called to be Primary Teachers for the summer in our ward so Grace got to go to nursery for the first time last Sunday and she absolutely loves it! She didn't miss us at all which I knew she wouldn't so finally we can have some peace at church for a while anyways!! But we're having lots of fun but miss our friends and home in California!!
